Chill. Build. Survive.

In the harsh, freezing environments of the Arctic, only the most resilient animals survive. In this hands-on workshop, learners will explore the incredible adaptations that allow animals to thrive in extreme cold. From the insulating power of blubber to the strength of ice structures, young wonderers will uncover the secrets of life in the polar regions.

Brave the Cold

This workshop gives your child the chance to think like a polar scientist, exploring the extreme environments where some of the world’s most fascinating creatures live. It’s a chance to build resilience, problem-solving skills, and a deeper understanding of the natural world.

Hands-On Science

Wonderers will experiment with insulation, exploring how polar bears and seals stay warm in icy waters. They'll build their own model igloos and test the strength of different ice structures.

Inquiry-Driven Learning

Explorers will tackle challenges like keeping heat in and cold out, testing different materials to see what makes the best insulator and how animals use blubber and fur to survive.

Take-Home Learning Extensions

Learners will take home their own polar habitat dioramas and an insulation challenge to test their creations at home.
